Overview
A community engagement workshop was conducted in Nandgaon as part of the project’s participatory planning process. The initiative aimed to establish a dialogue with local stakeholders and integrate community perspectives into the decision-making framework.
Activities & Outcome
The workshop commenced with a formal assembly at Sri Krishna Chaitanya Maha Prabhu Inter College, where the Divisional Forest Officer, Mr. Mukesh Sharma, addressed local leaders and residents, marking the beginning of the consultative process.
This was followed by focused interactions with village elders, local representatives, and key community members, enabling an open exchange of insights, concerns, and aspirations. The approach emphasized inclusive participation and ensured that grassroots perspectives informed the project’s direction.
At Dauji Chaupal, technical research outputs, including cultural mapping and site analysis, were publicly displayed, allowing community members to review, respond to, and validate the findings. This transparent sharing of information facilitated informed discussions and strengthened community involvement in shaping the project outcomes.
The workshop reinforced a participatory planning approach, fostering trust, local ownership, and collaborative decision-making in the development process.
